Spaceline EMCIA III PdW incorporates all of the human engineering concepts, which have set the Spaceline series apart from conventional treatment units for over forty years, now with a PdW tray instrument delivery system. A concept, which significantly reduces fatigue and long-term stress related injuries, while increasing treatment efficiency and precision.
The PdW (Proprioceptively-derived Wide movement) instrument delivery system uses advanced technology to create the optimal fusion of usability and treatment efficiency. Suitable for operating positions from 12 to 9 o’clock.

Spaceline EMCIA III PdW places all key operating functions and instruments within easy reach so all movements are performed from a balanced position with natural motion.
PdW Tray Delivery System
PdW (Proprioceptively Derived Wide movement) tray delivers instruments from the lower right area of the tray which offers completely natural movement for instrument use. Designed for delivery of a combination of up to 7 instruments including, highspeed, contra angles, ultrasonic scaler, intra-oral camera and curing light. An optional LCD monitor can be mounted to the PdW tray or light pole.
Shock-Free Chair Movement
The movement of the Spaceline EMCIA III PdW treatment unit was engineered to be extremely smooth. Starting and stopping is virtually shock-free. There is no smoother or quieter treatment unit in the market today.
Natural Movement Headrest & Patient Comfort
Designed to match the natural movement of the patient’s head & neck, the headrest will provide optimal positioning for the operator, while maintaining maximum comfort for the patient. The operator’s instruments are positioned close to the patient’s oral cavity although are restricted from the patient’s view. The smooth, easy movements and activity of the operator & assistant relieve the patient’s stress and anxiety, which promotes a relaxed, tension free atmosphere. (Various upholstery & headrest types are optional)
Large Rotating Glass Basin
The handmade glass basin can be rotated 45 degrees for easy patient access. Offered in a range of colours to compliment your upholstery choice and surgery décor. (Optional)
Automatic Cup Filler and Basin Flushing
A light sensor detects paper cups while a water level sensor ensures the cup is always full and that the basin is flushed prior to use. (Optional)
Conveniently Located Operation Switches
The control panel is located on the PdW tray for easy, convenient manipulation. There are 5 auto positions, 3 of which can be programmed and one for patient rinsing.
Multi Function Foot Control
Operate the foot control with easy, natural movement to control the chair position, instruments, lights and water spray. (Options available)
The AT.AR Clean System (Zero suck back). The AT.AR Clean System blows air out of the head every time the handpiece is stopped. This prevents cutting debris or other contaminants from entering the handpiece head and air lines.
Auto Tank Vacuum Cleaning and Line Flushing
Spaceline EMCIA III PdW includes an auto vacuum cleaning system and provides an easy to use auto flushing cycle for all instrument lines.
One-Touch Quick Connectors
Additional water and air connections come standard on the operators side of the unit. This can be switched over to the assistant’s side and a drain connector can be added. Ideal for quick connection of additional specialised equipment.

The true Morita Spaceline ‘Traditional’ concept provides the instrument delivery from the backrest of the chair, so the clinician working from 12 to 9 o’clock can effortlessly pick up instruments with a natural and consistent movements without bending the elbow or taking focus way from the oral cavity. While the shoulder mounted tray (optional) is ideally positioned for holding instruments and accessing chair controls.

Spaceline Traditional Shoulder Delivery System
The Spaceline Traditional delivery system is based on treatment being centred on the patients oral cavity with the dentist in the 12 o’clock position. The instruments are delivered from the backrest. The dentist can operate with ideal balanced posture, promoting natural and consistent movements.
Tube Pulley Mechanism
The instruments are delivered via an effortless smooth tube pulley mechanism embedded in the backrest. Offering true ergonomics, clean lines and unique aesthetic appeal.
Shoulder Tray
The shoulder tray delivers handpiece holders for easy access while also incorporating chair controls. (Tray delivery options are available)

Operator’s Treatment Tray
The dental chair and instrument functions are easily controlled using the integrated operating panel in the swivel and height adjustable tray. The foot control can also operate the same functions.
Operator’s instrument Dock
As many as five instruments/handpieces can be positioned on the intuitive operators instrument dock. The angle of the instrument guide can be individually adjusted for optimal positioning.
Assistants Instrument Dock
The Assistants instrument dock is equipped with both high and low speed suction and includes an operating control panel for chair & basin operation. The positioning of the assistants instruments can be easily adjusted via the delivery arm.
Basin
The contemporary, glass basin is simple to maintain, as it is detachable for cleaning. The automatic cup fill system automatically fills the cup to an optimum level by utilizing a photo sensor. The water is temperature controlled.
