Morita Accuitomo 3D
Cone beam technology produces highly detailed three-dimensional imaging volume data using 9 possible cylinder sizes up to ø170mm x H120mm (3D Accuitomo 170). Three-dimensional views – axial, coronal and sagittal, allow observation of the designated anatomy. It is possible to reslice the captured image at any angle for optimal viewing.
3D Accuitomo imaging allows for optimal examination of the hard tissue of the dento-maxillofacial region. Use dedicated software to freely set slice angles.
Develop the most accurate diagnosis and treatment for implants, apical lesions, temporomandibular joints, caries, impaction, restorative and surgical applications as well as Ear, Nose and Throat applications (with the Accuitomo 170).
The resolution of the 3D Accuitomo is greater than 2 line pairs per mm (MTF10%). The highly detailed images have a ground breaking minute voxel size of just 0.080 mm. The slice width and internal can be set to anywhere between 0.08 to 2mm. This superfine voxel combined with the unit’s 14 bit grayscale capability displays an amazing level of clarity for visualizing both hard and soft tissue areas with a subtle spread of contrast.
Expose time ranges from 5.5 seconds to 30 seconds and the amount of radiation is similar to that of a conventional panoramic film exposure, and a small fraction of the amount compared to conventional medical CT.
The voxel (0.08 to 0.125mm) is isotropic in all three planes, so there are no image distortions due to slice pitch or helical pitch.
Developed in collaboration with Nihon University School of Dentistry and J. Morita Mfg.Corp.
