This hands on course is tailored to both experienced & first time rotary users. It provides an opportunity to learn & fine tune current endodontics techniques for succesful outcomes.

Discussion will focus on the design and properties of the different NiTi systems available on the market today with emphasis on their safe and efficient use. A hands-on session will follow focusing on clinical technique and desired outcomes. Ample time will be available for questions.

• Apex location, Myths V’s Reality, accuracy and clinical significance
• Benefits of the latest rotary NiTi systems including hardware
• Obturation techniques for success
• Hands-on rotary endodontics component

What do you need to bring?
• Several extracted multi-rooted teeth with large straight line access cavities already prepared.
• Loupes if you wear them
• Files from your currently used NiTi System

Dr Ian Trantor

BDS, MDSc
Dr. Ian Trantor, originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, completed his BDS at Sydney University in 1986,and then worked as a Dental Of?cer in the RAAF until 1998.

He completed a MDSc (Endo) at Melbourne University in 1993 whilst serving in the RAAF. Since leaving the RAAF Dr Trantor has been in Specialist Practice in Adelaide. He is also a part time lecturer and Clinical Tutor at the University of Adelaide. Dr Trantor has lectured interstate and internationally and coordinates the Post Graduate Committee of Dentistry four day course in Endodontics at Adelaide University.

Dr. Jeff Ward

BDS, MDSc, GradDipClinDent, MRACDS(Endo) Specialist Endodontist

Dr. Jeff Ward obtained his BDS with Distinction from The University of Otago in 1996 followed by his GradDipClinDent and MDSc from The University of Melbourne in 2002.

Jeff works in full-time specialist Endodontic practice in Collins Street, Melbourne and teaches in the postgraduate endodontic programme and continuing education courses at the University of Melbourne. Jeff has lectured throughout Australia, Asia and New Zealand and he has published several articles in endodontic journals with particular reference to the management of fractured endodontic instruments and vital pulp therapy. Jeff has a special interest in rotary NiTi instruments and the use of operative microscopes in endodontics, which he has used continuously and exclusively since 1999.
